Ya pasó el Domingo de Resurrección

Y las iglesias -todas ellas- se llenaron de devotos deseosos de encontrar algo para ellos, en este mundo tan vacío de ideas y de significado.

Y los pastores y ministros se esforzaron por dar su mejor sermón, que, no caben dudas, fue muy bien preparado, y con todas las ayudas audiovisuales que circulan en el mercado de las redes sociales.

Además, hubo exhortaciones para ser mejores, tener algo que ocupe nuestro tiempo, poner la fe en práctica yendo en ayuda del necesitado. Y, posiblemente ese tipo de aplicación duró hasta llegar a la casa, para pasar al olvido, cuestión que sucede con muchos sermones -y algunos de ellos muy bien preparados- porque el espacio de atención de esta generación es limitado y la mente, ese don precioso, se llena con otras cosas, como lo que recibimos a cada minuto en anuncios, ventas y fantasías irrealizables.

Y el próximo año, cuando se anuncie la cuaresma y el Viernes Santo y el Domingo de Resurrección, todos iremos a llenar nuestros templos, con la idea y la ilusión, que ahora sí, ahí entonces recibiremos lo que anhelamos, porque después de todo, se trata de una “palabra” inspirada, ¿no es así?

La cuestión, es que a los humanos nos cuesta entender que el desarrollo y progreso en la vida -y eso incluye la cuestión “espiritual”- se basa en nuestra actitud de conocer, reflexionar y darle el lugar que a eso le corresponde.

No en balde la Biblia habla del conocimiento que viene de arriba, para que todos podamos llegar a la “estatura de un varón perfecto” (y en esa expresión no existe sexismo ni menosprecio al rol o papel de la mujer, sino que se utiliza la figura del varón queriendo indicar la representación de la humanidad que incluye a hombres y mujeres).

Surgen entonces algunas preguntas a todo esto. Primero, ¿entendemos lo básico que enseña Jesucristo, cuando se refiere a los que le siguen como discípulos? Porque en el discipulado hay un maestro y uno que sigue a ese maestro no solo en cuestiones intelectuales, sino en ejemplos de vida.

En segundo lugar, debe hacerse de espacio en la vida, en la mente y en espíritu para el cambio.  La palabra utilizada mas de 20 veces en la Biblia para el cambio (metanoia en griego), habla de girar, volverse, en resumen: cambio. Pero para ello debe haber una disponibilidad de la voluntad, y del intelecto.

Tercero, somos sujetos que necesitamos de otros, para sociabilizar y para mirarnos a nosotros mismos y a los demás en esto que llamamos “aprender de la experiencia en común”. Sí, porque nuestra mente, como una esponja, recibe información que después procesa. Y esa información puede provenir de simple y amenas conversaciones con los demás. ¿Cuántos científicos no han recibido su inspiración de una frase repetida, de un experimento fallido y luego enmendado, de una simple fórmula matemática mirada en menos?

Por eso, nos congregamos y vamos a iglesias que criticamos y en las cuales no nos sentimos siempre “a gusto”, y sin embargo es allí, donde sorpresivamente se hace la revelación viva y vívida para movernos al cambio.

Espero la próxima fiesta de semana santa y de sus días especiales, porque estoy seguro que recibiré la ayuda que busco, la frase que necesito, aquella línea de un discurso muy lleno de expresiones complicadas, pero que de pronto brilla en mi cerebro lo que vale y permanece. Y no solo me ayudará esa línea de un discurso religioso muy bien preparado, sino que también contribuirán aquellos prójimos que me dirán lo que a ellos les ha llamado la atención, sino también lo que ha brillado en sus propios entendimientos.

Easter Sunday is over

And the churches - all of them - were filled with devotees eager to find something for themselves, in this world so empty of ideas and meaning.

And the pastors and ministers made an effort to give their best sermon, which, without a doubt, was very well prepared, and with all the audiovisual aids that circulate in the social network market.

In addition, there were exhortations to be better, to have something to occupy our time, to put faith into practice by going to the aid of the needy. And possibly this type of application lasted until they reached home, to pass into oblivion, an issue that happens with many sermons -and some of them very well prepared- because the attention space of this generation is limited and the mind, that gift precious, it is filled with other things, like what we receive every minute in advertisements, sales and unrealizable fantasies.

And next year, when Lent and Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday are announced, we will all go to fill our temples, with the idea and the illusion, that now yes, then we will receive what we yearn for, because after all, it’s an inspired "word," isn't it?

 The point is that we humans have a hard time understanding that development and progress in life -and that includes the "spiritual" question- is based on our attitude of knowing, reflecting and giving it the place that corresponds to that.

It is not for nothing that the Bible speaks of the knowledge that comes from above, so that we can all reach the " until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ." (And in that expression, there is no sexism or contempt for the role or role of women, but the term figure of the male wanting to indicate the representation of humanity that includes men and women).

So, some questions arise to all this. First, do we understand the basics that Jesus Christ teaches, when it comes to those who follow him as disciples? Because in discipleship there is a teacher and one who follows that teacher not only in intellectual matters, but in examples of life.

Second, you must make room in your life, mind, and spirit for change. The word used more than 20 times in the Bible for change (metanoia in Greek), speaks of turning, turning, in short: change. But for this there must be an availability of the will, and of the intellect.

Third, we are subjects who need others, to socialize and to look at ourselves and others in what we call "learning from common experience". Yes, because our mind, like a sponge, receives information that it then processes. And that information can come from simple and pleasant conversations with others. How many scientists have not received their inspiration from a repeated phrase, from a failed experiment that was later corrected, from a simple mathematical formula looked down upon?

For this reason, we congregate and go to churches that we criticize and in which we do not always feel “at ease”, and yet it is there, where surprisingly, the vivid and vivid revelation is made to move us to change.

I look forward to the next Easter party and its special days, because I am sure that I will receive the help I am looking for, the phrase I need, that line of a speech full of complicated expressions, but that suddenly shines in my brain for what it is worth and remains. And not only will that line of a well-prepared religious discourse help me, but also those neighbors who will tell me what has caught their attention, but also what has shone in their own understandings.
